» Step 1 - Down Load template

Down load the template, then cut out all the shapes.Choose which card / paper you are going to use for the main bodies place template on paper draw round and cut out.Rember to reverse template so sides match, as you need to cut everthing out twice as the birds are double sided.

» Step 2 - Decorating the birds
For the top and bottom birds attach the tummy area first, then the tail .With a white gel pen make little marks around shape of birds body to look like stiching and on the tail feathers doodle some swirls and embellish with tiny coloured gems. Next embellish with stickles glitter glue, set aside and leave to dry. 
» Step 3 - Attaching the wings.

When attaching the wings, fold over the tab and glue along edge and stick onto the bird, also attach a small sticky foam pad to the under side of the wing as will add dimension.

» Step 4 - Making the anteni

Cut two slim strips of paper, next take a skewer and curl each strip of paper around the skewer, remembering to leave the end of strip uncurled so that it can be attached to the birds head using a little glue.

» Step 5 - Making the Eyes

Using a small daisy punch , punch out two flowers for each of your birds.Stick one on each side of the birds, then glue a tiny gem to the center of each flower.

» Step 6 - Attaching the birds
Next using an eyelet punch, punch a small hole in the centre of each bird top and bottom.Cut some equal lengths of ribbon thread through each hole and attach one bird to the other and so on.
» Step 7 - Finishing of your birds

To finish of lay your birds out in a line. Punch out ten hearts in chosen paper.Find the centre of ribbon and stick on a heart front and back.Do the same to the top and bottom ribbons and then cut of any remaining ribbon.Your birds are now complete and ready to hang.
